| Germain Arena Event/Ticket Operations Intern |
We are looking for individuals who aspire to work in the sports or entertainment industry in the fields of ticket operations, event marketing, and event management. Some of the event marketing responsibilities of this position will include assisting Event/Marketing Coordinator with "grass roots" marketing efforts including flyer/poster distribution, coordinating off-site and on-site third party promotions, managing on-site marketing resources, and maintaining and developing online marketing components. Additionally, this position will assist both the Vice President of Event Programming and Event/Marketing Coordinator with event responsibilities at both Florida Everblades games and non-hockey events. This position will also assist the Box Office Manager with box office duties including reporting, ticket sales, inventory management, and financial responsibilites.
Qualifications: Flexible scheduling with availability on nights and weekends; Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and interest in learning ALL aspects of event marketing, event management, and ticket operations; Skilled in Microsoft Office applications; Weekday office hours to be determined in conjunction with the Event/Marketing Coordinator and the Box Office Manager; Must be at least 18 years old, Junior or Senior in college or post-graduate preferred; This internship runs from October of 2010 to May of 2011. |

| Florida Everblades Sales Internship |
We are looking for motivated individuals who want to learn more about sales (Corporate and Ticket) of a professional sports team. Our goal is to maintain an intern program that is beneficial to both the student and the organization. The most important department in any professional sports organization is the ticket sales department. Most jobs in the industry, especially most entry-level jobs, are in the ticket sales area. Therefore, it is imperative that those who wish to work in professional sports have a background, knowledge, and love for selling tickets and the ticket selling process.
Job responsibilities will include involvement in the administration and implementation of current sales programs, assisting in the research and development of new sales campaigns corporate fulfillment, and database maintenance. Interns will be responsible for making cold calls to generate new business ticket revenue for the Everblades. Ticket Sales Interns will be trained in phone sales and developed professionally with daily coaching. Basic sales and marketing principles will be explained throughout the internship. Ticket Sales Interns will make commission on all sales. As a bonus, top performers will also be offered to interview for an Account Executive position with the Florida Everblades. This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, increase their ticket sales with season and group tickets.
These individuals will be expected to work approximately fifteen (15) hours per week plus all home games and team related functions (when needed). Must be at least 18 years old, preferably a Junior or Senior in college.

| Florida Everblades Marketing/Promotions/Game Operations Internship |
We are looking for highly motivated and personable individuals who aspire to work in the sports industry in the field of Marketing and/or Game Operations. This person will support and execute elements of the 2010-2011 Marketing Plan as well as be involved with the implementation of the hockey club’s Game Operations program. Some of these functions will include interacting with the crowd, being involved with all pre-game, in-game, and post-game events and intermission promotions. These individuals will need to be available preferably from mid to late afternoon on ALL home game days until up to one hour after the game is completed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist Everblades staff with the implementation of on-ice promotions, fulfilling sponsorship commitments, and the execution of special events taking place on game days.
Requirements: Must be a personable, creative, and dynamic person; Interns must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate course of study that pertains to Sports Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or Business. Interns must possess excellent oral and written communications skills and come to work presenting a professional appearance and behavior. Other requirements include: the ability to work independently, capable of meeting deadlines, possess excellent computer skills, be extremely detail oriented and available during business and non-business hours for game days and special events. The person is required to work approximately fifteen (15) hours per week plus all home games. Must be at least 18 years old preferably a Junior or Senior in college. This internship is for one or two semesters starting in August 2010.
Marketing interns will assist the Marketing Department in daily and game-day duties including, but not limited to:
- Attend all assigned game day operations meetings
- Attend all games on schedule unless prior arrangements have been made 1 week prior to game
- Assist with the Everblades donations program
- Schedule game night activities, including National Anthem Singers, contacting promotional winners, etc.
- Assist in implementation of Everblades special events, including (but not limited to) season ticket holder parties, Fan Appreciation Night and pre-game parties
- Assist at community events, charitable outings and mascot appearances
- Assist in implementation of all on-ice and in-arena Promotions
- Help with pre-game and/or post-game ceremonies
- Assist with handouts/giveaways pre-game and/or post-game
- Assist in keeping all game props organized, in good condition and stored appropriately after each game
- Assist Ticket Sales Staff at Fan Services Booth, dealing with fans, handling ticket issues and renewals, etc.
- Assist the mascot with game night duties
- Coordinate with Swampee (the mascot) and ticket sales department for execution of birthday parties on game nights
- Serve as a liaison with local organizations for intermission games
- Assist in any additional duties assigned by the Marketing & Sponsorship Activation Manager |
| Florida Everblades Public Relations Internship |
We are looking for individuals who aspire to work in the sports industry in the field of Public Relations and Communications. Some of the responsibilities of this individual will include writing game summaries, researching statistics for home and away radio/television broadcasters, and distributing game information sheets to media, scouts, and broadcasters. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of ice hockey preferred; strong writing skills; Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications; Public Relations, Communications, or Sports Management majors are preferred, but not required. Must be available for all home games and preferably game day afternoons. Weekday office hours to be determined by the Broadcaster/PR Manager. Must be at least 18 years old, Junior or Senior in college preferred. This internship is for one or two semesters starting in August 2010. |
